The Herb Filled Homestead represents much of our family's journey towards wellness. As both practitioners and parents, we have spent considerable time preparing formulations to address our own household's specific needs. Our family's promise is that each formulation featured represents our vision of only the most natural ingredients; foraged and grown on our family's homestead using regenerative methods. For any products that do feature herbs that cannot be grown or harvested due to climate limitations or regulations, these ingredients are only sourced from companies that align with our strict requirements of ethical harvesting and organic, regenerative methods. It is with great honour that our family offers you such products and services to assist you within your own journey to wellness.
Our bodies are quite adept at repairing themselves. We use methods that aid this natural ability with herbal support, myofascial release, and cupping.
Although one of the oldest healing modalities, herbalism employs the use of the chemical constituents found in plants to address common ailments to promote overall wellness. Herbalism's foundational principles and approach centres on the view of the body and the individual as a whole. A herbalist chooses and employs whole plant remedies to align with an individual's constitution to assist the body's innate ability to maintain balance while recognizing the autonomy and role of an individual within their unique healing process..
Our bodies are quite adept at repairing themselves. We use methods that aid that natural ability through herbal supports, myofascial release, and cupping. Our functional approach to personal training seeks to strengthen the body through scientific exercise principles and an advanced understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle non-invasive modality to complement care in areas such as chronic pain, rehabilitation, and neurology. The foundational approach of CST is the understanding and knowledge of the cranial bones and their subtle, rhythmic movements of 6 to 12 cycles per second in unison with the movement of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) around the brain and spinal cord. This movement results in a widespread response within the body to the pressures within the central nervous system. These changes are detectable to the trained CranioSacral therapist in their examination of the skull, cranial suture lines, diaphragms and fascia. The gentle manipulations used in CranioSacral Therapy alleviate pain, assist the central nervous system, increase mobility and address any soft tissue restrictions. The application of CranioSacral Therapy is diverse ranging from migraines, concussions and post-concussive symptoms, TMJ, Facial asymmetries, muscle and joint pain or injury, tinnitus, vertigo, recurrent ear infections, gross and fine motor problems, birth traumas, stress disorders, insomnia and much more.
